The day began quietly at the Inverness Hotel, where Christiana and Daniel chose to see each other beneath the golden fall trees before the rest of the day swept forward. It was one of those tender, grounding moments — the kind that reminds you what the whole day is really about. From there, party buses rolled in, everyone piled on, and we made our way to Arrowhead Golf Course, a venue that feels almost otherworldly with its towering red rock formations. Standing there, it was easy to forget we were just outside Denver; the landscape felt like it belonged somewhere far more remote and wild.
Arrowhead held special meaning for these two. Planning a late-October celebration came with its risks, but Christiana and Daniel believed wholeheartedly in the vision — a ceremony surrounded by those sandstone spires, and a reception tucked inside a white tent with the flaps open to the sunset. And for Daniel, a lifelong Cincinnati Bengals fan and devoted golfer, celebrating on a course just made sense.
One of the most meaningful pieces of their ceremony was watching Christiana’s brother — a past GPF groom we adore — step forward to officiate. Having him lead them into marriage added a depth that everyone could feel. It also felt like a reunion for us, with familiar faces woven into nearly every pocket of the day. Walking into a room and seeing so many former GPF couples greeting us like family… there’s just nothing better.
As the sun dipped behind the ridge, cocktail hour unfolded under twinkle lights and that crisp fall chill. Christiana and Daniel made the intentional choice to join their guests right away, soaking in as much time as possible with the people who traveled to celebrate them. The tented reception looked out over the course as the sky turned a soft watercolor of evening, and the first dances set the entire tone — heartfelt, emotional, and full of meaning. Daniel’s dance with his sister was one of those moments that holds the whole room still.
The toasts that followed were filled with laughter, stories, and honest emotion — a true reflection of the kind of people these two are. Once the dance floor opened, the energy skyrocketed. At one point, their clever officiant even managed to discreetly un-light the chandeliers to keep the party going long into the night. It worked.
Before the wild dancing kicked off, Christiana stole a private moment with their moms, breaking her bouquet in half and gifting each of them a piece. It was quiet, intentional, and so her — heart-first in everything she does.
And maybe that’s the thread that runs through their entire story. From meeting on Hinge during the chaos of 2020 — him commuting to Denver from Utah, her living with her grandmother in San Diego — to a Wash Park proposal on December 8th, just steps from where her parents once got engaged. Even with Santa Con happening in full force and Daniel giving himself away by getting unusually “ready,” the moment was unmistakably theirs. Simple, meaningful, and perfect.
These two feel like home to each other. It’s evident in the way Daniel talks about her kindness and steady love, and the way Christiana sees safety and unwavering commitment in him. They’ve weathered surgeries, long-distance seasons, big life transitions — and every piece of it has only anchored them deeper.
Their engagement session felt like a reflection of all of that: a sweet return to the proposal spot at Wash Park, followed by ice cream at the stand Christiana visited growing up. Comfort. Familiarity. A simple kind of joy.
We left Arrowhead that night with full hearts, reminded again how deeply we love this family. Being trusted to capture another chapter of their story was an honor — one we don’t take lightly.
